The Push 4 Peace Program is thrilled to announce our latest initiative: an art contest that brings together the vibrant, diverse voices of our community. This contest celebrates the themes of “Humanity” and “Long Beach, CA,” and we invite artists of all ages and backgrounds to participate. Submissions are open now and will close on August 7th, with winners being chosen shortly thereafter.

About the Push 4 Peace Program:

The Push 4 Peace Program is dedicated to fostering a sense of community, creativity, and peace through various artistic and cultural initiatives. By engaging with local artists, we aim to create a platform that highlights the importance of artistic expression in building a more inclusive and harmonious society.

Contest Themes

1. Humanity
– This theme is an exploration of what it means to be human. We encourage artists to reflect on the world around them, their own experiences, emotions, relationships, and to consider the broader human condition. Submissions could include portrayals of compassion, struggle, unity, or any aspect of humanity that resonates with you.

2. Long Beach, CA
– This theme celebrates the unique character and spirit of our beloved city. Artists are invited to capture the essence of Long Beach, whether through its stunning coastal landscapes, diverse communities, vibrant street life, or historical landmarks. Show us what makes Long Beach special to you.

 How to Enter

Artists can submit their entries by sending high-resolution images of their artwork to the form below. Please include the following information with your submission:
– Your name
– Contact information
– Title of the artwork
– A brief description of your piece and how it relates to the chosen theme

All submissions must be received by August 7th. Artwork must be 9×33(inches)

Prizes

Winners will be selected from each theme. The Winner will receive a set of boards of their artwork. The artwork will also be used as the design for free skateboards we give to the youth until next year. Your work may also be chosen as a limited edition run for purchase from the general public, in which case you will be given a cash reward of $300+.

This is a unique opportunity for artists to see their work displayed in a dynamic and impactful way, reaching a wide audience and becoming a part of our community’s cultural fabric.
